SCREW

A screw, although small, is not only perfectly functional but also esthetically interesting as an object. It is in this uneven ratio between its small size and big importance that I found inspiration. Today this small object is valued for its function over its esthetic properties. With the help of the unique techniques typical for Verreum I've come up with a design that puts a screw's aesthetical properties above its function, which I have strengthened by the change of size and the change of functional details into pleasing curves. The change of size adds oomph, makes the object playful, and doesn't force the pattern of a screw onto the viewer. It only softly suggests the pattern and points towards it with the help of its curves and silver surface, while remaining an object of design.

Individual objects of the collection function as respectable accessories of industrial interiors as do their colorful variants in whimsical popart spaces.
